Carmelo 3 SW 11, Carmel-by-the-Sea

Living Room   Kitchen   Backyard

I’m happy to report that I have my property pick from last week, Casanova 3 NE Ocean, currently in escrow. Fingers crossed that I’ll be able to feature my buyer’s project in an upcoming “Before & After” post! Stay tuned. In stark contrast, this week’s property pick is a stunner in the Golden Rectangle at Carmelo 3 SW 11th. Local architect, Eric Miller, designed the home and he knocked it out of the park. Built in 2012, the home is oversized for Carmel standards at 2,333sf. I particularly love the textures found throughout the property. It’s all about the details with the combination of cooper, wood, stone and glass inside and out. A wall of windows off the living room open to the deck, extending the entertainment space and bringing the white water views in. The house is three stories, so no need to belong to the gym, and the lower level opens to a private yard with a brilliant combination of water, landscaping and hardscaping. This home has the wow factor – just one block to Carmel Beach and a short stroll to down.

Listed by Coldwell Banker, Tim Allen $6,950,000

What's Changing About Real-Estate Commissions?

Dear Clients & Friends,

I want to address the National Association of REALTOR®s' recent settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that has been in the news so much this year. One of the settlement terms is that the MLS will no longer allow for listing agents to make offers of compensation to buyer’s agents, which is how it has traditionally been handled. To comply with this settlement, the MLS removed all offers of buyer’s agent compensation as of Tuesday, August 13th.

Commissions always ...

The Before and After Series | Part Seventeen: Valley Estate Perfected

Image of Press Release 757a
It was the quintessential COVID sale.

I had been referred to potential buyers who were relocating to Carmel from Colorado. They were the type of buyers that could be successful in the crazy days of COVID. Decisive, ready and able. It was March, 2021 and a gorgeous four bedroom home on one of my favorite streets in Carmel Valley had just hit the market. I called my clients and the husband literally hoped on a flight the very next morning. He boarded a plane with only a cup of coffee in ...
